I was hesitant to spend this much money on a birthday candle, but it was worth it. The candle is large and thick, has great color, and has a shape that gets noticed on a cake. It has a long insertion stick that stays securely on the cake. It burned slowly for a couple of verses of Happy Birthday and the time for the recipient to think up a well-thought-out birthday wish before he blew them out.
